The warm, textile tretford carpeting contrasts sharply from the cool, ceramic surface of the tiles in the showrooms operated by Kemmler Baustoffe GmbH, a construction material specialist. The carpet tiles are used to separate the various exhibits from one another – also visually.

The pile material of PLUS 7 carpet tiles consists of robust Cashmere goat hair and extremely hardwearing polyamide. These tiles have the effect of reducing impact sound.  They are pleasant underfoot and are also easy to install and combine with other materials.

Boasting over 20 subsidiaries throughout Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria, Kemmler is among the biggest specialized retailers for construction materials in Metzingen and Aalen. In its Aalen and Metzingen branches, Kemmler GmbH had over 800 square meters of tretford PLUS7 continuous carpeting and carpet tiles – in combination with stoneware – installed for its tile showroom.

Whether continuous carpeting or removable carpet tiles, tretford doesn’t fray and it is thus also suitable for customized designs and material combinations. A clever idea: The sample displays were designed using tretford carpeting, which made it possible to place the sample boards on top without making a loud noise or scratching a surface.
